In-depth history presentations. A “little aviator” center. Hundreds of original works of art. A museum store. There’s always something more to discover at the Air Zoo – for visitors of every age.
For those people that want to dig deep into history, the Air Zoo houses two interactive kiosks, filled with personal accounts and never-before-seen footage of over 10 individual aircraft. Designed by Lawrence Productions of Galesburg, Michigan, two of the productions within these kiosks have won prestigious Telly Awards.
Designed for the littlest aviator, this play area is suitable for children from one to five years of age. This area features four arcade-style rides along with various aviation-related toddler toys. A 2,100-square-foot mural entitled “Flights of Fancy” serves as the focal point of this fun, entertaining experience.
Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or simply appreciate fine work, the Air Zoo’s collection of both indoor and outdoor art is sure to catch your eye.
Wander among hundreds of original paintings, prints and sculptures, including works by major artists such as Kirk Newman, Jean Flower, Alan D’Estrehan, John Herbst, Clement E. Daley, William Phillips, H. Gordinier and Sonny Dalton. Study the numerous aviation photographs and posters that, along with a rotation of temporary exhibits, complete the collection.
