Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace

Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace, opening on May 15 at the Air Zoo presents Charles M. Schulz’s lovable beagle, Snoopy, as his alter ego, the Flying Ace. The exhibit showcases 40 of Snoopy’s most exciting adventures in his transformed doghouse—now a Sopwith Camel airplane —from the time he faced a deadly bout of influenza to sparring with the Flying Ace’s archenemy, the Red Baron.

All activities are free with regular Air Zoo admission and are geared to anyone who has a fondness for fun.

“A Helping of Peanuts

Join the merriment and go back to school with the Peanuts gang. From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., visitors will receive a “report card” to roam around and try their skills in a number of hands-on activities related to Snoopy and his human companions. Test your geography skills by answering questions about Snoopy’s travels as the WWI Flying Ace.

If theater is more your style, see if you can successfully act out one of Snoopy’s over 100 alter ego characters (like Joe Cool, a secret agent, or even the Easter Beagle). And if you’ve always dreamed of being a chef, the culinary arts will allow “children” of all ages to make and take yummy dog treats to take home to your favorite canine friend.
