The Boeing B-29 Superfortress is a heavy bomber that was flown primarily by the U.S. in late WWII and through the Korean War. It is best known for carrying out two missions over Hiroshima and Nagasaki that brought WWII to an end.
The North American P-51 Mustang is among the best and most well-known fighters used by the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII. The Mustang served in nearly every combat zone during WWII, and later fought in the Korean War.
Both planes will be on display outside of the Air Zoo's East Campus on Aug. 6. Flights will begin on Aug. 7-8. Seats start at $595 per person.
Admission to see the planes costs $10 per person or $20 per family (immediate family members only-children must be 17 years old or younger). Kids who are 12 years old and younger are free. Cockpit tours are included in admission, but not guaranteed due to the flight schedule.
