History in a Box: History through Helmets
Appropriate for Lower/Upper Elementary students
A helmet is an essential part of a soldier’s equipment, and for centuries they have been worn for protection and identification on the field of battle. But did you know that helmets were also used for cooking, bathing and even pillows?
This lesson provides six different helmets for study and discussion. Students will gain a basic understanding of the two World Wars and modern history.
