Snoopy to Visit Local Comic Contest Winner

On Wednesday, June 4, Snoopy will be visiting the classroom of the Air Zoo’s comic strip winner Alec Isham, who is in the fourth grade at Sonoma Elementary in Harper Creek Community School district, located in Battle Creek.

Air Zoo, Comstock Community Center volunteer wins STAR award

On May 1, Davis will receive the coveted Volunteer Center of Kalamazoo STAR award for his dedication to volunteering at the Air Zoo, as well as at the Comstock Community Center, Borgess Hospital’s Fitness Center and Richland Presbyterian Church.

Young Eagles Day gives kids a chance to ride in a plane

Area children will be given the chance to take a free ride in an airplane at the Air Zoo on Saturday, May 3 through the EAA’s “Young Eagle” program, courtesy of EAA Chapter 221.

World War II Veterans to receive free airplane rides this summer

World War II veterans will have a chance to fly in a N2S-5 Boeing Kaydet, U.S. Navy primary trainer for free this summer, beginning June 24. Flights are courtesy of the Air Zoo and pilot/sponsor Alan Wright.

Super Science Saturdays bring extra fun to the Air Zoo

Beginning on Saturday, January 26, the Air Zoo will be holding monthly themed activities that will make science, math and the laws of nature more fun. Though geared for children of all ages (and their parents), Super Science Saturdays are targeted specifically toward upper elementary to middle school students.
