KALAMAZOO, Mich.-This Veterans Day (Thursday, Nov. 11), the Air Zoo is honoring those who have served and those who continue to serve our country by offering free wristband packages to veterans, active military, Guard and Reserve members, and their immediate families*.
"Offering free wristbands is the least we can do to show our gratitude to the men and women who have sacrificed so much to serve our country," said Bob Ellis, Air Zoo president and CEO.
Wristband packages include access to aircraft, artifacts, exhibits, rides and attractions, including the Montgolfier Balloon Race, Flying Circus Bi-Plane Ride, Full-Motion Flight Simulators, 3D Space Shuttle Ride and Space Ball. Proof of service is required.
For more information on the Air Zoo, visit www.airzoo.org or call 269.382.6555.
* An immediate family member is defined as a significant other or those who are 18 or younger living in the same household as the veteran or military member.
The Air Zoo is a nonprofit organization located at 6151 Portage Road in Portage, Mich. It is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and offers a restaurant, gift shop and banquet facilities. General admission is free. Unlimited rides and attractions may be purchased with a wristband package or can be purchased individually with tickets.
