Air Zoo Legacy Foundation to offer summer camp scholarships

KALAMAZOO, Mich.-Full and partial scholarships from the Air Zoo Legacy Foundation are now available for the Air Zoo's summer camps.

To apply for one, kids must write a one-page essay about themselves, explaining why they want to attend camp and how they became interested in science, flight, and space. Applicants must include the name of the camp they want to attend, along with the amount of scholarship they are requesting-full or partial. Essays must be received by June 1, 2011 and should be sent to:

Air Zoo is a nonprofit organization located at 6151 Portage Road in Portage, Mich. It is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and offers a restaurant, gift shop and banquet facilities. General admission is free. Unlimited rides and attractions may be purchased with a wristband package or can be purchased individually with tickets.
