This Veteran's Day, (Wednesday, November 11) the Air Zoo will honor those who have served-and those who continue to serve-our country by offering free unlimited ride wristbands to veterans and their immediate families* of all branches of the armed forces, including the Guard and Reserves.
"In many ways, it seems that offering free wristbands to veterans and members of their family is a small gesture, considering the commitment and the sacrifices they have made-and continue to make-to guard and defend our nation from those who would destroy our way of life," says Bob Ellis, executive director of the Air Zoo. "Still, it is our humble way to say thank you for all that they do so we may live in the greatest country on Earth."
The Air Zoo is celebrating its 30th anniversary with free general admission, which includes entrance to both the Main and East Campus, viewing all the aircraft, artifacts and artwork on display, plus admission to the 4D theater and the Space Walk. For those who would like to expand their experience even further, the rides, including the Montgolfier Balloon ride, Flying Circus Bi-Plane Ride, Full-Motion Flight Simulators, 3D Space Shuttle, Mars Adventure, Space Ball and Zero G are available for a modest charge.
* Immediate family is defined as the veteran, and those living in the same household.
