Air Zoo to help Girl Scouts, Brownies earn their badges

During the month of November, Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts will meet at the Air Zoo to earn their Try-Its and Badges. Saturday, November 7 will be Brownie Try-it Day and Saturday, November 21 is the museum's annual Girl Scout Day.
For both days, the Scouts will be given the opportunity to work with Air Zoo docents and volunteers at different learning stations to find out about areas of science through hands-on activities. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on November 7, Brownie Scouts will be able to complete all the requirements for their "Science in Action" Try-It. And beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. on November 21, Junior Girl Scouts will able to complete the requirements for their Space Exploration Badge.
The cost is $18 per Scout for registrations and includes all activities toward fulfilling their badge requirements as well as access to all Air Zoo rides and attractions, including the Michigan Space Science Center. Adults may enter at no charge and have the option to upgrade to a $12.95 unlimited ride pass if they wish to experience the rides.
Pre-registration is required and is open until Friday, October 31 for the Brownie Try-It Day and until Friday, November 13 the Junior Girl Scout Day. Each session is limited, so those wishing to participate should call early. To register, please call 269.382.6555.
