Air Zoo to celebrate Women Airforce Service Pilots

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Air Zoo is celebrating the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) with a special reunion and presentation on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend this program in honor of the first female pilots to fly U.S. military aircraft. Guests will learn all about the WASP, their history, what roles they played in World War II and more!
Afterwards, the Air Zoo will host a special Q-and-A session with members of the WASP, along with a meet and greet opportunity.

The Air Zoo is a nonprofit organization located at 6151 Portage Rd. in Portage, Mich. It is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and offers a restaurant, gift shop and banquet facilities. General admission is $8 per person. Unlimited rides and attractions may be purchased with a wristband package (Ultimate Ace-$15, Junior Flyer-$12, Co-Pilot-$8), which includes general admission, or tickets can be purchased individually for rides. Children who are 4 years old or younger are free.
