Air Zoo to offer behind-the-scenes tours
May 18, 2010
Beginning in June, Air Zoo visitors will be able to experience behind-the-scenes tours of the Restoration Center.
The tour takes a peek at how some of the nation's rarest aircraft are restored, with an in-depth look at ongoing projects that staff members and volunteers are working on. Aviation enthusiasts will find this tour especially rewarding, as it provides an opportunity to view several aircraft that are seldom on public display.
During the walking tour, visitors will see a variety of aircraft including a Sopwith Camel, Ford Tri-Motor, Heath Parasol, Whing Ding II and much more.
Reservations for Restoration Center tours are recommended, as space is limited. Tours will last about one hour and are available to those 12 years and older. The cost is $5 per person.
For more information about Restoration Center tours, including tour times, visit www.airzoo.org or call 269.382.6555.
