Jet Age [Post War to Today]
The Jet Age extends back to the end of WWII, spans the Cold War period, and continues through today. Cold War conflicts pressed the need for jet-powered interceptors and aircraft enabled with supersonic, surveillance, and stealth capabilities. Missile technology split into two directions: military and space use. Commercial aviation soared through the development of the jet airliner. A staggering list of innovations served during wartime and peacetime and continue to push aerospace further ahead.

Our array of Jet Age examples includes the SR-71B Blackbird, F-117 Nighthawk, MiG-15, and F-14 Tomcat.

The Hiller UH-12 was first flown in 1948.
It is a multipurpose light helicopter that was originally produced for the U.S. Army.
Its Army designation is H-23A.
It performed as a utility, observation and MedEvac helicopter during the Korean War.
