August 13-17

Cadets will experiment with Bernoulli's Principle and Newton's Laws of Motion, along with learn how to navigate and control aircraft in flight. They'll take a field trip to Duncan Aviation in Battle Creek, where aircraft are refurbished, WMU's College of Aviation, and either the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base or WACO Classic Aircraft Corp. Girls will be introduced to concepts in aviation and space flight, and will utilize different aviation skills to create a personalized propeller and key chain. They'll also build and launch their own rocket, but the highlight of the week will be when cadets fly with an instructor and take over the controls of an aircraft!

Campers will receive a model rocket, foam plane, foam rocket blaster, tote bag and a pizza party on the last day.
