SBD-1 Restoration Receives Funding

The Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum, doing business as the Air Zoo, is pleased to announce publicly that we have secured a significant funding promise from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (hereinafter referred to as the IMLS), in the amount of $439,180.00. John Henry Lendo One of four children of Polish immigrant Gabryel and Anna Lendo, John Henry Lendo was born July 26, 1918, in Gardner, Massachusetts. An exceptional athlete in high school, John was accepted at Dartmouth College and played on the Ivy League school’s baseball and basketball teams.
