Full-Time Positions

Position Title: Marketing Associate

Supervisor: Director of Marketing
Status: Exempt

Position Summary: Fun, engaging, out-of-the-box-thinking, self-starter with strong graphic design skills, a creative mind, a passion for learning, and a high-level of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite. Web-development, video production and intermediate knowledge of sound marketing practices/principles, will put you at the head of the pack, and you ll gain valuable experience in these areas along the way. Must exhibit strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.


  • This position is heavily-focused on graphic design. Create designs, layouts, and finished artwork for a variety of digital and print media, including printed ads, online/social media advertising, logos, banners, signage, billboards, flyers, exhibits, and brochures.
  • Participate in full-cycle development of marketing/interdepartmental projects, ranging from creative concept to execution.
  • Manage aspects of the Air Zoo s social media presence and create and contribute images, posts, and other content for a variety of purposes.
  • Assist in writing, proofing, and editing scripts and copy of all departmental projects; ensure accuracy in all communications.
  • Develop, produce and manage videos appropriate to the diverse Air Zoo audiences.
  • Review Google Analytics and social media analytics to help guide effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in the development of a new branding strategy and other long-term, public-facing strategic projects and goals.
  • Invest in the success of the Air Zoo by being fearlessly innovative and pitching new creative ideas and concepts.
  • Assist in the Air Zoo s web-development and manage content and images as needed.
  • Help further the development and organization of the Air Zoo s marketing processes and production schedules.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Strong skill in graphic design and web design (at least 3 years)
  • Experience in video production (at least 2 years)
  • Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics, best practices and administration
  • Experience being part of a marketing team (at least 3 years)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level of creativity
  • Ability to think strategically and operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing or Business or equivalent years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (Premiere and After Effects a huge plus)
  • Passion for learning about the Air Zoo and telling our story to a wide audience

Part-Time Positions

Position Title: Part-Time Science Educator

Supervisor: Education Manager
Status: Part-time; non-exempt

Position Summary:
The part-time educator is responsible for delivering exciting, high-quality educational programs to schools, families, and adult groups. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice a wide range of skills; lead innovative, interdisciplinary activities; and connect people of all ages to the STEAM disciplines while delivering educational programs for the Air Zoo. The educator is an energetic, dependable individual who likes working with people and inspiring others to learn about science and is instrumental in strengthening visitors awareness and appreciation of the Air Zoo. Good public speaking, organizational, and customer service skills required. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Scheduling is flexible with select weekdays, evening, overnight, and weekend work required.


  • Deliver educational programs including school, after-school and outreach programs, summer and holiday camps for families and children, camp-in overnight programs, birthday parties, special event programs and scout badge programs.
  • Learn the activity you will be teaching and be able to answer questions about the topic (training provided)
  • Set-up classroom and teach educational activities
  • Maintain control of the classroom and students
  • Actively engage the audience
  • Follow the established schedule for the daily events
  • Clean classrooms after each program (put away supplies, wash equipment and tables, sweep floors if needed)
  • Must be able to carry totes with materials (up to 40 pounds) from place to place
  • Deliver exhibit floor education and participate in program development and evaluation as required
  • Participate in educational and promotional outreach events
  • Make safety a priority


  • High School Graduate or Equivalent. Some college-level education preferred with an emphasis in Education or Science-related field. Certification and experience teaching in classroom and informal museum settings helpful
  • Creative, motivated, and enthusiastic; excellent public presentation skills
  • Reliable and punctual; able to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Able to work independently and as part of a close team
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills; strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to offsite locations
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Office and Outlook)

Position Title: Guest Experience Ambassador

Supervisor: Customer Service Manager
Status: Part-time; non-exempt

Position Objectives:

The Guest Experience Ambassador (GEA) position has direct contact with our Guests. They set the stage and atmosphere for our Guests visits. Point of Sale GEA staff process admission tickets and membership sales, answer phones, work in retail, and assist our Guests. Ride Operator GEA staff are responsible for safely operating all of the Air Zoo attractions while ensuring our Guests have the best experience possible during their visit. Safety, customer service, professionalism and accuracy are the priority.
