  • Tigers: Tracking a Legend - Tigers: Tracking a Legend is an amazing new exhibit at the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science center near Kalamazoo. Guests "become" tigers, as they learn about the lives, bodies, and habits of endangered Bengal Tigers in this highly interactive exhibit. Science classes, camps, and field trips are available, located in Portage, MI

    • Scholarships - The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center in Kalamazoo, West Michigan, is dedicated to connecting students with science and technology through positive, engaging, and immersive experiences that align with educational standards and inspire exciting career choices and pathways. Supported in part by the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation and individual donors, the Science Inspiration Fund was developed to break down the economic barriers that greatly inhibit many schools, community organizations, and youth groups from taking an active part in Air Zoo�s exceptional educational programming,classes, and field trips.
    • Homeschool Discovery Days - The Air Zoo provides Homeschool Discovery Days to help homeschoolers supplement their curriculum and provide learning experiences to their students in a variety of disciplines.
    • Air Zoo Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards for Local Educators and Students - The Air Zoo in Portage, MI holds the annual West Michigan Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards which are focused on recognizing and further encouraging southwest Michigan high school students, K-12 level educators & teachers, and local organizations & individuals who have innovated and excelled within, or shown exceptional support of, education in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). Each spring, the Air Zoo will present the Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards at a highly-publicized and interactive gala that will draw notable Michigan luminaries from all areas of industry, education, government, and the arts.

  • FREE Educator Preview Night! - The Air Zoo offers a wide variety of science camps, classes, field trips, and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) based education programs and field trips to students in west Michigan. Located near Kalamazoo, the Air Zoo is Michigan's best museum for educational experiences, and offers Educators and Administrators Free admission to preview these programs October 15th, 2014.
