WWII [1939-1940s]
World War II necessitated aircraft advances driven by a rivalry for air superiority. Warfare demanded that aircraft fly higher, further, and faster over land and sea. Throughout the war, aviation provided photoreconnaissance and defense to the movement of troops and supplies. Although it wouldn’t be fully used until the Korean War which soon follow, jet technology existed during this era.

This particular Buchon was built in 1958 and was featured in the movie "Battle of Britain" in 1969.
